The following was originally a reply/reblog to this post. Long rant is long, and fed up, and annoyed and too old for this shit, and almost certainly going to be unpopular.
Here we go:
The thing is, I like shipping Captain Swan but I don’t see the tight-knit community everyone keeps going on about, you know, the “beans” and “i love you all” and all of that. I see a bunch of people who all like Captain Swan, and a handful - perhaps a dozen at most - who are vocal enough that they give the impression of being a core group, or leaders, or representative of the rest of the ship.
A friend of mine calls this group the “Mean Girls clique”.
